About the Role
As a Picker Packer at VW Midrand, you play a vital role in the efficient operation of our stores and warehouse, ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and delivered. Your focus will be on maintaining quality control through meticulous attention to detail in both order fulfilment and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
– Pick and pack products accurately according to order specifications to ensure timely delivery.
– Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels.
– Label packages and ensure proper handling procedures are followed to prevent damage.
– Coordinate with team members to streamline picking and packing processes.
– Report discrepancies or issues with product quality or inventory to management promptly.
– Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
– Assist in other warehouse operations as needed, contributing to team goals and efficiency.
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance productivity.
Requirements
– Demonstrable experience in a warehousing or logistics environment.
– Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures and specifications accurately.
– Basic numeracy and literacy skills to facilitate order processing and inventory tracking.
– Ability to work effectively within a team and adhere to deadlines.
– Proficient in using warehouse management systems or willingness to learn new technology.
– Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands in a busy warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
– Knowledge of inventory management practices and order fulfilment processes.
– Certification in health and safety procedures within a warehouse context.
– Previous experience in automotive or related industries is a plus.
