General Worker – Production Department

Job Purpose

The purpose of this General Worker position is to perform various operational duties within the Ambient Warehouse. Responsibilities include shrink-wrapping products, sorting damaged goods, loading products, maintaining cleanliness, and carrying out other duties as assigned.

The successful candidates will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, organised, and productive warehouse environment while following established operational and safety procedures.

General Worker Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
• Fluent in Business English.
• Willingness and ability to work in extreme conditions when required.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must be able to successfully complete the required readiness assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities

The General Worker will be responsible for performing various operational and warehouse-related duties, including:

• Performing basic and general operational tasks.
• Completing assigned duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Handling products safely and correctly.
• Complying with all applicable Health and Safety regulations.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Assisting with shrink-wrapping, sorting damaged products, loading, and other warehouse activities.
• Performing additional or ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
