Minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus tertiary qualification in Finance or equivalent registered at NQF Level 6;
• Registration confirmation letter from the institution
• Only residents of the City of Joburg will be considered.
primary function:
Assist Community Development Finance management in monitoring their key performance indicators and results so that their Assets and Insurance are accurately reported. Ensure supply chain management and budget and accounting compliance addressed effectively to meet the requirements of the Municipal Finance Management Act and the City’s financial strategies and policies.
Key Learning Areas:
• Control and coordinate the implementation of the specific Asset Management procedures and controls systems associated with the functional areas incorporated into the Community Development department;
• Manage all supply chain management processes associated with COJ policies and procedures.
• Manage and control specific budget, expense and accounting procedures associated with financial reporting
Leading competencies:
• ICT literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• High level of Confidentiality and organization skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and independently;
• Ability to prioritize;
• Good numerical ability;
• Good time management skills;
• Financial reports
• Analysis capacity
Basic skills:
• Multidisciplinary team;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with the group;
