X400 GENERAL WORKERS
Pikitup (City of Johannesburg) has re-advertised vacancies for General Workers and is inviting qualifying residents of Johannesburg to apply.
Vacancy Details:

• Salary: R10,616.38 per month (excluding benefits)

Job Purpose:
To carry out cleaning and refuse-related duties, including street cleaning, sweeping, stacking, bin delivery, lane flushing, and related operational tasks.
Key Duties Include:
• Street cleaning and sweeping
• Cleaning refuse bins and designated areas
• Collecting and stacking refuse bags
• Bin delivery and replacement
• Observing safety procedures and wearing protective clothing
• Reporting incidents, equipment issues, and injuries
• Engaging with community members when required
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 10
• Minimum 12 months cleaning / general work experience
• No criminal record
• Physically and mentally fit
• South African citizen
• Must reside within the City of Johannesburg (proof of residence required)
Required Competencies:
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Knowledge of basic tools, equipment, and safety procedures
• Good communication and task execution skills
