Requirements:

  • Grade 10 / AET level 5 to Grade 12 certificate.
  • Knowledge of Batho Pele principles, Patient rights, and OHS act.
  • 6 months experience in a hospital environment.
  • Ability to work shifts as per allocation.

Duties:

  • Providing cleaning services including cleaning wards, offices, corridors, and boardrooms.
  • Dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors.
  • Vacuuming and cleaning floors, walls, windows, and doors.
  • Collecting and removing waste papers.
  • Cleaning kitchens and restrooms.
  • Keeping cleaning material safe and reporting broken equipment.
  • Cleaning equipment after use.
  • Flexibility regarding shifts (both night and day).
  • Upholding Ideal Hospital Framework and Realization, Batho Pele Principles, Patient’s Rights, and OHS Act.
  • Contributing to the management of complaints and Patient Safety Incidents.
  • Performing any other delegated duties.
