Are you aspiring to become a nurse? The Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON) invites applicants to embark on a rewarding journey towards a Diploma in Nursing in 2024.

Requirements:
Must be a South African citizen residing in Gauteng Province.
Possess one of the following school leaving certificates:
Senior Certificate (Standard 10)
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4
Additional consideration will be given to candidates from Quintile 1, 2, 3 schools in townships, informal settlements, and hostel communities in Gauteng Province.
Individuals already in the nursing profession (Nursing Auxiliary and Enrolled Nurses) who meet the entry requirements are also encouraged to apply.

Notes:
All shortlisted applicants will undergo a compulsory psychometric assessment.
Successful psychometric assessment candidates will undergo medical surveillance, including a physical examination.
Verification of all documentation for selected candidates is required.
Applicants must scan and upload their Senior/National Senior/National Certificate (Vocational) or statement of Grade 12 results or final Grade 11 results.

Successful applicants will be required to:
Sign an agreement with the Gauteng Department of Health.
Attend lectures.
Be prepared to participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), including shifts and working on public holidays, weekends, and nights in Gauteng Department of Health hospitals and clinics as part of the programme requirements.
